Launched May 1988 as one of only seven original Eureka 31 one design yachts manufactured before the Brookvale, NSW company folded after the death of Ben Lexcen in May 1988. The stainless keels with 1,000kg lead torpedo bulbs were cast at Central Foundry, Mascot NSW. The Eureka 31 was named Australian Yacht of the Year in 1988. Following one sent to Japan and two to Germany, there were four original construction/ layout Eurekas left in Australia. Following the demise of Eureka Yachts a number of boats were built by various boatbuilders using the moulds.Originally named RAZZLE DAZZLE II by the Nash family in Sydney, we purchased and brought her to Lake Macquarie and renamed COOL RUNNINGS in 1994. In 1997 Glen Coulam Boatbuilding added a sugar scoop stern extending the LOA to 34 ft 10.36M.A 2015 update refurbished hull stripes, and cabin top trim and windows.
